Service-Public.fr holder of level 5 of the e-accessible label

Verified 26 September 2017 - Directorate for Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister)

French law n°2005-102 of 11 February 2005 for equal rights and opportunities, participation and citizenship of people with disabilities makes accessibility a requirement for all online public communication services of the state, local and regional authorities and public institutions that depend on it. For this reason, under the Act, a general accessibility framework for administrations (GBAA) has been developed. With a strong technical dimension, this repository offers an operational translation of the accessibility criteria stemming from international rules as well as a methodology to verify compliance with these criteria. Thus, within the framework of the Digital Accessibility Program, DINSIC has set up an “e-accessible” label intended to enhance the consideration of digital accessibility within websites and web applications.

The aim is to make it possible for everyone, including people with disabilities, to consult the sites.

In March 2017, the Directorate of Legal and Administrative Information (DILA) applied for the label. After a one-month inspection, DINSIC awarded by letter of 11 April 2017, Level 5 of the “e-accessible” label to Service-Public.fr. Level 5 is the highest level of compliance with the technical criteria of the GRFA. The DILA is strongly committed, on the quality of service provided to users, in the field of accessibility and quality of service to users, thus completing an investment and long-standing achievements.

This label, awarded for a period of three years, with a 10-month monitoring visit, is part of a repository of values already carried by DILA: service, quality, innovation and access to as many people as possible.

Following the redesign of the Service-Public.fr website in 2015-2016, important work has been done on accessibility, including regular audits to ensure that the site meets the criteria of the RGAA.

The consideration of the accessibility criterion was thus invested as much as ergonomics, security (such as the protection of personal data), quality of service, availability of the site, relationship with users or referencing in search engines.

The achievement of Level 5 thus makes this work a reality.
