How does it work?

By creating a secure personal space on the platform Memo of Life, victims of violence and their relatives have access to four features:

  • The

    Journal

in which the person has the opportunity to describe the facts and keep a record of them. This allows for a gradual awareness of the situation and the ability to convey a coherent and documented narrative to facilitate the investigation (by proving that the facts constitute serious and consistent clues).
  • The space

    My Documents

allows to store in a secure, encrypted and time-stamped way key elements that could facilitate a possible complaint and an investigation (photos of bruises, audio recordings of threats or testimonies, videos...), as well as official documents (medical certificate, divorce judgment, identity papers...).
  • The

    Contacts

offers important telephone numbers, both emergency and accompaniment of expert professionals (anonymous chat, listening, networking...).
  • The

    Library

offers a selection of reliable articles to find out more and find out about various topics related to your situation: law, health, social, testimonies... Various tools are also available to enable victims to assess their situation (filing a complaint, legal aid, the conduct of criminal proceedings, emergency accommodation for victims of domestic violence, school harassment, etc.).

The platform can be accessed on a computer, tablet or phone. Access to his personal space requires a password and a 4-digit code. This code is again requested to access and modify sensitive elements.

Please note

Designed under the aegis of the Ministry of Justice, the Memo of Life platform is supported by the National Federation for Victims France Victims which brings together 130 local associations in each region, working to receive and listen to victims (attacks on persons or property, traffic accidents, acts of terrorism, collective accidents...) and to provide information on the rights, psychological support and social support of victims.

Memo of Life is also useful for relatives and professionals

Memo of Life is also addressed to relatives who are often powerless witnesses. The platform helps them keep track of what they are witnessing or what the victim is reporting to them. It provides them with the keys to help, support and direct them to the right people and the right approaches.

Memo de Vie also aims to facilitate the work of professionals. The latter can thus have access, after a sharing decided by the data subject, to key information to accompany him or her.

FYI

The law of 14 November 2020 authorizing the extension of the state of health emergency and laying down various measures to manage the health crisis strengthens the protection of victims of domestic violence. These victims cannot be held in confinement with the perpetrator. They must be provided with accommodation when the abusive spouse cannot be evicted from the family home.
