With the increasing number of scams, the Caisse d'allocations famille (Caf) calls for all consumers to be vigilant with regard to the text messages or emails they receive. Service-Public.fr alert you!

False messages of “optional premium” or “unpublished premium” have been circulating lately on the Internet. The information, which is intended to lure consumers onto fake pages in order to gain an audience or impersonate their accounts, is not legitimate; the CAF has warned that it has not announced any new support or bonus in recent weeks.

If you want to contact your Cof, a unique number: the 3220. This number is at the cost of a local call, it will never be overcharged.

Simple rules to avoid scams

  • Beware of emails and text messages with spelling errors.
  • Make sure the page starts with

    https://

    and by a padlock appearing before or after.
  • Check the url address of the site: public site urls always end with ".gouv.fr" or ".fr" and never with ".gouv.org" or ".gouv.com".
  • Never share your passwords.
  • Never divulge your bank details.
  • Keep in mind that only the site https://www.caf.fr/ really informs you.
