Directory of Service-Public.fr and accessibility: what's new?

Are you looking for the contact details of a particular public service, an administration, a contact? Do you know that the directory of Service-Public.fr lists the administrations and all national and local services. Since the beginning of March, you have been able to access all accessibility information about these organizations, telephone accessibility and physical accessibility. Here is all the information you need to know about this new service.

Useful contacts, emergency numbers, contact details of local and national administrations... All this information is available in the administration directory on-site Service-Public.fr. 75,000 organizations are listed with nearly 15,000 contacts.

Search by postal code, city, state or region.

One standard form of a local body (e.g. a town hall) indicates the following:

  • telephone;
  • accessible telephone;
  • website;
  • email and/or contact form;
  • physical address with a plan
  • opening hours (including telephone reception);
  • postal address;
  • physical accessibility information.

As of March 8, 2023, the yearbook provides information

Accessible Phone

indicating whether a telephone relay for deaf and hard of hearing persons is available.

If this is the case, the URL of the telephone relay shall be specified, together with the possibilities offered:

  • call via an interpreter (LSF: video interpretation in French sign language);
  • call via a transcriber (instant speech transcription);
  • call via an encoder (LPC: video-coding in completed spoken French).

For each of these features, a green pastille tells you if the service is open and the opening hours are mentioned.

Please note

About 5,000 organizations are supplied to date with this telephone accessibility information (Primary health insurance funds, Family allowance funds, Pôle emploi, etc.). The forms will all be progressively completed. An integrated online form at the bottom of the form allows the heads of organizations to complete their accessibility information.

Physical accessibility of the premises

Since March 23, 2023, the yearbook also provides a detailed overview of physical accessibility a place to enable the disabled user to know all the necessary data before going there:

  • access;
  • exterior path;
  • input;
  • reception conditions.

Please note

The gendarmeries are now fully informed with this physical accessibility information, as well as nearly 26,000 town halls.

FYI  

The physical accessibility data comes from the state start-up Accessible. It is a collaborative platform allowing interaction with the user. The latter can in fact enrich the base with information concerning a visited establishment.

A user has the possibility of updating, on Acceslibre, physical accessibility data seen on the directory. The data is automatically updated after a few days in the Public Service directory.
