Handicap: a guide to adapted learning

In order to develop and promote the learning of persons benefiting from the recognition of their status as a disabled worker (RQTH), the Ministry of Labor, Full Employment and Integration has just published the Learning and Disability Guide.

Over the last two years, the number of apprentices with disabilities has increased by 21%. To build on this momentum, the Ministry of Labor is publishing a guide to inform companies, apprenticeship training centers and persons with disabilities about themanaged learning.

This guide shall include information on:

  • the benefits of managed learning;
  • available aid;
  • the interlocutors.

What is a modified apprenticeship contract?

The adapted apprenticeship contract is a contract for disabled workers accessible from the age of 16 and without a maximum age limit.

The apprentice beneficiary of a QTH hasadjustments andaid in order to secure its training path.

Adapted apprenticeships are part of initial training and are intended to be awarded a diploma or diploma registered in the national register of professional certification (RNCP) following a training course involving:

  • periods of theoretical instruction in CFA;
  • periods of practical training (teaching of the trade) with a private or public employer with whom a contract has been signed.
