Since December 11, 2023, an API (Application Programming Interface or application programming interface), based on directory datasets Service-Public.fr, is available on the data.gouv.fr.

This is part of the open data policy. This interface allows the reuse of all data from the directory Service-Public.fr.

It is an open API, i.e. free and open access. It lists all national and local services and contains contact details for administrations, including:

  • institutions;
  • courts;
  • Ministries;
  • embassies;
  • town halls;
  • prefectures;
  • Pôle emploi;
  • public institutions.

75,200 organizations are referenced with close to 15,000 contacts.

FYI

an API provides access to data and functionality from other applications, services, or operating systems. It allows two unrelated applications to “talk” to each other, exchanging data or services.

Are you looking for a particular public service, an administration, a contact?

For individuals, the directory is available directly on the website Service-public.fr. It provides access to a variety of information. A standard form of a local body shall contain the following information:

  • telephone;
  • accessible telephone;
  • website;
  • email and/or contact form;
  • physical address with a plan
  • opening hours (including telephone reception);
  • postal address;
  • physical accessibility information.

Use the directory search engine: “Who, what? Where? ” or search for an organization by theme in "All organizations in the directory by theme". Next, refine your search by location: "Search by ZIP Code, City, State or Region".

FYI

since march 2023, the yearbook also provides a detailed overview of physical accessibility to a location to inform users with disabilities before they go there. Information on "Accessible Telephone", indicating whether a telephone relay for deaf and hard of hearing persons has also been added.
