Public officials who telework receive a flat-rate allowance, which in particular compensates for the extra costs incurred (energy costs, etc.). The maximum amount that can be collected under this telework package has been exceptionally increased for the year 2024 marked by the 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The amount of the telework package, valid in the civil service and the judiciary, is set at €2.88 per day. An order issued in Official Journal april 20, 2024 indicates that the maximum amount that can be paid to you in 2024 under this package is €282.24 ; this amount is usually €253.44. This increase represents 10 additional days of “telework package” allowances.

In a circular of 22 November 2023 on the support of public officials mobilized during the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris 2024, it is stated that these two events make it necessary to put in place ‘organizational measures justified by exceptional circumstances within the meaning of Article 4 of Decree No 2016-151 of 11 February 2016 on telework in the public service and the judiciary’. This Article 4 allows, in the event of an exceptional situation disrupting access to a service or work on site, to derogate from the 3-day limit for telework which can usually be authorized.

Please note

The telework package is paid to you at the end of each quarter; the amount depends on the number of telework days you have requested and for which you have obtained authorization. If necessary, an adjustment can be made to take into account the days of telework that you have actually done during the year; it occurs at the end of 1er quarter of the following year.
