Can a student receive the scholarship during the summer holidays?

The higher education grant is paid in 10 monthly installments.

However, if you are a scholarship student and did not complete your studies on 1er in july, you can continue to collect your scholarship during the summer holidays (called 4e term).

Then you will touch 12 monthly installments in total.

To be eligible for the summer scholarship, you must be a student in one of the following situations:

  • You study in France and are dependent on your parents who live overseas
  • You are French or a citizen of a country of the European Economic Area (EEA) and you are dependent on your parents who live abroad (outside European country and Mediterranean countries)
  • You are a ward of the state or an orphan of parents
  • You are a refugee and your parents' situation does not allow you to welcome you during the long holidays
  • You've had child welfare measures and your parents can't take you on the big holidays

You can also benefit from it if you are in one of the above situations and taken care of by a legal guardian or a delegate of parental authority.

For the 2023-2024 academic year, the summer scholarship amounts depend on your rank.

The summer scholarship includes 8 grant steps (0 bis to 7) identical to those paid over 10 months.
