Are you entitled as an employee to days of leave for family events (in case of birth, of marriage or Civil partnerships, or death of a family member, for example) during your paid leave?

No, if the event occurs while you are on vacation, you are not entitled to days of absence authorization.

However, treaty provisions or a collective or a company agreement may provide for more favorable conditions.

you are not entitled to a compensatory allowance for days of absence for untaken family events.
