If you leave voluntarily in retirement, you must inform your employer from the date of your departure.

There is no specific procedure in the act.

However, you must comply with the provisions of the collective agreement or your employment contract (if any).

In addition, you must notify your employer early enough to be able to comply with a notice period, the duration of which is the same as that provided for in the case of notice of dismissal.

It is recommended to notify your employer by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt (RRA).

A template is available:

If you are registered in Pôle emploi, you must declare your retirement pensions as part of your monthly update, when you receive official confirmation from your pension funds that your retirement pensions have been awarded.

In most pension schemes, the pension is paid each month in due time, i.e. at the end of the period for which it is due.

For example, if you are admitted to retirement on the 1ster may, your 1re Retirement pension is paid to you by the Pension Insurance at the end of May or beginning of June and then each month thereafter.

You can check the payment schedules for each of your pension funds on the official Pension Info site in your pension account, under Pension payments.
