Simple social assistance allowance for the elderly

If you do not receive a retirement pension and your application forAspa: titleContent has been rejected, you can apply for the simple home care allowance for the elderly, paid by the State.
What applies to you ?
The situation differs depending on whether you live as a couple (marriage, Civil partnerships, cohabitation) or alone.
As a couple
General case
You must be at least 65 years old.
You're deemed unfit for work
You must be at least 60 years old.
Your couple's resources (excluding family benefits, maintenance claims, in particular) must not exceed €1,492.08 per month.
Other conditions:
- you must not have a retirement pension
- your request Solidarity allowance for the elderly (Aspa) must have been rejected.
This condition depends on your nationality:
French
You must live in France at the time of your application.
Other nationality
You must live in France (metropolis or Drom: titleContent, except Mayotte) at the time of your request.
You must prove that before you turned 70, you had been living in France continuously for at least 15 years.
You must apply to the CCAS: titleContent from the town hall.
You will then need to complete an application package.
It is the prefect of the department who decides whether or not to grant you the simple allowance.

Depending on the amount of your resources, the simple allowance can be granted either at full rate or at reduced rate.
At full rate, the simple allowance is €17,905.06 per year, either €1,492.08 per month.
However, the amount of the allocation may be reduced so that the allocation/resources does not exceed €17,905.06 per year, either €1,492.08 per month.
FYI
after your death, the amounts you received are to be repaid on your estate, only if your estate exceeds €46,000.
Alone
General case
You must be at least 65 years old.
