A skateboarder or scooter user (without a motor) is considered a pedestrian and must ride on the sidewalk.

The electric moving machinery (e.g. electric scooter, hoverboard, gyropod, monoroue, light-duty bicycle) shall be driven on the bicycle path when available.

Bicycles must be driven on the road or on the bike path (if there is one).

In built-up areas

You must cycle on the bike paths. In the absence of bike paths, you can cycle in the following areas:

  • Roads with a maximum authorized speed of 50 km/h
  • The pedestrian areas, provided that you drive at a moderate speed (6 km/h) and do not disturb pedestrians
