Is a public official entitled to a moving leave?
Verified 01 January 2024 - Legal and Administrative Information Directorate (Prime Minister)
There is no provision for a public official to take time off work in the event of a move of his principal residence.
However, it is customary for officials and contractors to be granted leave of absence on this occasion.
Each administration sets its own rules in this area.
Check with your human resources department to find out the conditions of authorized absence.
