Bicycle (or tricycle) equipped with an auxiliary electric motor with a maximum power of 0,25 kilowatt. The power supply to the engine is gradually reduced and finally interrupted when the vehicle reaches a speed of 25 km/h, or earlier if the cyclist stops pedaling.

Can you receive a conversion premium when buying or renting a electrically assisted cycle (EAV) ? What are the conditions to be met? What is the amount of the aid? What applies to you ?
If the purchase takes place between 15 August 2022 and 28 December 2022, the rules are different.
You must meet the following conditions:
- Be domiciled in France
- Buy or rent a electrically assisted cycle
The electrically assisted cycle (EAV) must meet the following conditions:
- Be nine or used.
- Be purchased, or rented under a contract of 2 years or more
- Do not use lead acid batteries
- Have a identifier unique on the frame
Petrol vehicle
The vehicle to be destroyed shall meet the following conditions:
- Be a private car (VP) or van (CTTE)
- Have been assigned a 1re registration before january 2006
- Belong to the beneficiary of the premium for at least 1 year
- Be registered in France in a normal series or with a final registration number
- Not be gambled
- In the case of a vehicle considered to be a damaged vehicle by an expert, it must have been insured for at least 1 year on the date of its delivery for destruction or on the date of invoicing of the vehicle acquired or rented.
- Be given for destruction within 3 months before or 6 months after the new electric bike is billed to a approved end-of-life vehicles center (ELV) or to an approved installation for the depollution and dismantling of end-of life vehicles
Diesel vehicle
The vehicle to be destroyed shall meet the following conditions:
- Be a private car (VP) or van (CTTE)
- Have been assigned a 1re registration before january 2011
- Belong to the beneficiary of the premium for at least 1 year
- Be registered in France in a normal series or with a final registration number
- Not be gambled
- In the case of a vehicle considered to be a damaged vehicle by an expert, he must have been insured for at least 1 year on the date of his delivery for destruction or on the date of invoicing of the vehicle acquired or rented.
- Be given for destruction within 3 months before or within 6 months after the new vehicle is invoiced to a approved end-of-life vehicles center (ELV) or to an approved installation for the depollution and dismantling of end-of life vehicles

The amount of State aid shall be fixed at 40 % of the acquisition cost up to €3,000.
You must have one or more aids (AAH, MVA, AEEH, PCH) or have a mobility card inclusion marked with a disability or a military disability card, or a disability card.
The amount of the conversion premium may be cumulated with the amount of the ecological bonus.

Please note
you benefit from a extra premium of €1,000 if you live or work in a low-emission mobility zone (LMA). If your local authority paid you a grant to buy or rent a vehicle clean, the overpremium is increased of the amount of local aid up to €2,000 additional. For example, if the local aid is €3 000, the additional premium is €1 000, plus €2 000 = €3 000.
If the trader (seller or renter of the bicycle, organization that has granted a micro-credit for own vehicle) does not advance you the premium, you must apply online.
You have 6 months from the date of billing of your new electric bike to file your request, or, in the case of a rental, payment of 1er rent.
Before you begin to enter your application, you must have at least the following:
- Unique bicycle identifier
- Carte grise of the scrapped old vehicle (if you declare one)
- RIB: titleContent
Please note
a conversion premium may be paid to each member of the tax shelter even if only one vehicle is handed over for destruction.
