Can you be paid during your training in Pôle emploi?

If you wish to take training approved by Pôle emploi as a job seeker, you can receive Pôle emploi Training Pay (RFPE) for all or part of your training.

You can collect the EFR if you meet all 3 of the following conditions:

When you register for training, you must apply for remuneration from your Pôle emploi advisor.

Disabled worker

If you have been employed for at least 6 months in a 12-month period, or for at least 12 months in a 24-month period, your monthly remuneration is between €712.40 and €2,009.82.

If you do not meet this condition of employment, your monthly remuneration is €712.40.

For a part-time internship (less than 30 hours per week), your remuneration for each hour of training is the monthly remuneration for a full-time internship, divided by 151.67.

Person with dependent children

You perceive €712.40 per month if you are widowed, divorced, separated or single under 26 and you are the sole caregiver of at least one child.

You also receive this amount if you are a mother with at least 3 children.

For a part-time internship (less than 30 hours per week), your remuneration for each hour of training is the monthly remuneration for a full-time internship, divided by 151.67.

Widowed, divorced or legally separated person

If you are widowed, divorced or legally separated for less than 3 years, your monthly remuneration is €712.40.

For a part-time internship (less than 30 hours per week), your remuneration for each hour of training is the monthly remuneration for a full-time internship, divided by 151.67.

Pregnant woman

If you are a single pregnant woman who has completed the statutory prenatal check-up and declaration, your monthly salary is €712.40.

Unemployed person who has never worked before

  • If you are between the ages of 16 and 18, your monthly salary is €208.
  • If you are between 18 and 25 years old, your monthly salary is €520.
  • If you are over 25 years of age, your monthly salary is €712.40.

For a part-time internship (less than 30 hours per week), your remuneration for each hour of training is the monthly remuneration for a full-time internship, divided by 151.67.

Self-employed person

If you have had at least 12 months of previous employment or self-employment, including 6 consecutive months, in the 3 years prior to the internship, your monthly remuneration is €708.59.

For a part-time internship (less than 30 hours per week), your remuneration for each hour of training is the monthly remuneration for a full-time internship, divided by 151.67.

Other jobseeker

If you are between 16 and 18 years of age, your monthly remuneration is €208.

If you are between 18 and 25 years old, your monthly remuneration is €520.

If you are over 25 years of age, your monthly remuneration is €712.40.

However, if you under 26 years of age and you have had at least 6 months of previous employment in a 12-month period (or at least 12 months in a 24-month period), your monthly remuneration is €712.40.

This remuneration is an exception to the normal remuneration for persons under 26 years of age who have never worked. Thus, persons over the age of 26 who have already been in paid employment will receive the same remuneration as persons over the age of 26 (i.e €685).

For a part-time internship (less than 30 hours per week), your remuneration for each hour of training is the monthly remuneration for a full-time internship, divided by 151.67.

If you're doing full-time training, the compensation is paid at the beginning of the next month.

The monthly remuneration shall be equivalent to the amount of Unemployment Insurance Allowance (UIC).

Example :

For a training course in October, the remuneration is paid in early November.

The remuneration is taxable as Return-to-Work Assistance (RWA).

one mobility aid may be granted to you under certain conditions, depending on the distance between your home and your place of training.

Accumulation with SSA

You cannot accumulate the specific solidarity allowance (SSA) with the remuneration of the Pôle emploi training courses (RFPE).

The payment of the SSA will be suspended during the collection period of the CSR.

Accumulation with active solidarity income (SSA)

You can receive Pôle emploi Training Compensation (RFPE) and RSA.

Depending on the amount of your EBP remuneration and the composition of your household, your entitlement to EBP may be reduced or eliminated.
