To become a registered nursery assistant (registered nursery assistant), you must obtain a license. You must make this request to the department's services. This period may be extended to 8 months in departments which have granted approval to a maximum of 100 new childminders during the year.

An assessment of learning outcomes shall be carried out by the department or a training organization.

Validating the 1re Part of the training shall be deemed to be authorization to receive a child.

After the child is taken in

The Last 40 hours training shall be provided within 3 years maximum from the reception of 1er child.

An assessment of learning outcomes shall be carried out by the department or a training organization.

Validation of the 2nde part of the training will result in a certificate of follow-up of the 2 training courses.

If authorization is refused, the notification shall specify the grounds for, and the possibilities and time limits for, appeal.

The approval determines the number of children that can be cared for by the childminder. It shall select the number of children to be cared for within the limit of such approval.

during regular reception hours, the total number children under 11 years of age under the sole responsibility of the maternal assistant may not exceed 6. The number of children under the age of 3 shall not exceed 4. The children of the family are counted.

Exceeding the number of children

The number of children accommodated can be increased in case of need temporary, punctual or specific .

Overflow for temporary requirement

The childminder can accommodate 2 additional children if the approval decision allows it.

This reception will be provided under the following conditions:

  • Under his sole responsibility
  • Up to 55 days per calendar year
