1 youth, 1 mentor: the program targets 200,000 young beneficiaries in 2022

You are under 30 and you need support for your career guidance? Do you want to share your experience and support a young person to help them put their skills to use? The Youth, 1 Mentor scheme launches a third call for projects supporting mentoring for young people. It is open to structures of general interest until 27 May 2022.

1 young person, 1 mentor made it possible in 2021 to support 100,000 young people and to support 54 associative structures through mentoring. For 2022, the aim is to enable 200,000 young people to benefit from these mentoring actions.

What is the device 1 young, 1 mentor?

Launched since April 12, 2022, the third call for projects launched under the Youth, 1 Mentor scheme allows young people from priority neighborhoods in the city or remote rural areas, for example, to benefit from the support of a mentor (professional, student, retired...).

This program is aimed at community organizations offering a volunteer mentoring activity to help young people. It is most often an association.

This support of at least 6 months takes place during the school course, the choice of orientation or the vocational integration phase of the young mentee. It provides knowledge, advice and skills development to better prepare for the future.

How to apply?

The third call for projects was opened on 12 April 2022 and will be closed on May 27, 2022.

General interest structures must submit a file sent by email by 23:59 (Paris time) on May 27, 2022. Incomplete files or files filed after the filing deadline are not admissible.

Successful projects will be selected by the Interdepartmental Mentoring Committee and then published on the websites of the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Inclusion and the Ministry of National Education, Youth and Sport following the Mentoring Committee that will be held the week of June 20, 2022.

In order to benefit from the 1 young, 1 mentor scheme, the young person must be under the age of 30. It is also possible to enroll a young person of his knowledge in this device.
