Whether to keep your student accommodation during the summer

If you are staying in a residence of the Crous (Regional Centers for University and School Works), you can keep your student accommodation during the summer, usually until the end of August, provided you pay the rent. It is also possible to leave before summer if you do not want to pay rent during the summer period.

If you rent from an individual with a conventional furnished lease, and the landlord does not want to take over the property, the contract is automatically renewed from year to year.

You cannot keep the home if you have signed a student lease or a non-renewable mobility lease that ends in June.

FYI

you need to get in touch with your landlord to find out how to renew the lease.
