Motorway troubleshooting: What are the rules and rates?

Verified 14 August 2023 - Legal and Administrative Information Directorate (Prime Minister)

On a licensed motorway, only one Approved Troubleshooting company is authorized to intervene.

You must prevent the motorway operator who will contact the authorized convenience store.

You can use a emergency terminal to call him.

Please note

In the event of a failure, you should make every effort to clear the road as far away as possible from the taxiways and ensure vehicle advance warning.

The convenience store needs to arrive on site within 30 minutes of calling the emergency kiosk.

In case of small failure, the convenience store takes care of the movement of the vehicle and its on-site repair.

If on-site repair is not possible, the convenience store provides towing of your immobilized vehicle.

Your vehicle is towed:

  • the garage of the intervention vehicle,
  • or, at your request, at a location less than 5 km from the motorway or express way exit.

The prices are regulated.
