Retirement of the fighter

The veteran's pension is an amount paid in recognition of national recognition by the department responsible for veterans affairs. In principle, it is granted from the age of 65 but, in some cases, it can be paid from the age of 60.
From 65 years
You must have the fighter's card.

General case
You must apply in the month before your 65e birthday.
You must provide the following:
- Form cerfa no. 10860
- Supporting documents (listed on form leaflet)
You must send your request to theONACVG: titleContent who issued you the fighter's card.
Services performed in Algeria from 1962 to 1964
You must apply in the month before your 65e birthday.
You must provide the following:
- Form cerfa no. 15924
- Supporting documents (listed in the form's package leaflet)
You must send your request to theONACVG: titleContent who issued you the combatant card for services performed in Algeria (1962-1964).
€810.68 per year
The veteran's pension is paid to the beneficiary every 6 months, until his death.
It is combined with occupational pensions.
It is non-transferable, meaning that you cannot pass on your right to the veteran's pension to another person.
Bank account seizure It is not subject to seizure, i.e. its amount is not taken into account in the case of seizure (for example, in the case of wages or salaries).
It is not taxable, nor is it taken into account in the calculation of resources when applying for social assistance.
Upon the death of the veteran's pensioner, his or her death certificate must be transmitted to theONACVG: titleContent from his department.

after the death of the beneficiary, the veteran's pension is not paid to his or her spouse.
From 60 years
To get the veteran's retirement from age 60, you must personally request it as soon as you have the veteran's card.
In addition, you must:
- Receive Solidarity allowance for the elderly (Aspa)
- Receive a military disability pension compensating for an incapacity of at least 50% and receive one of the following benefits (Disabled Adult Allowance (DAA) or compensatory allowance or social assistance allowance (so-called simple allowance), or special old-age allowance (ASV) or allowance for older employed persons (AVTS)) or solidarity allowance for the elderly (Aspa))
- Be domiciled in an overseas department or community (Dom and Com)
- Receive a military disability pension to compensate for one or more disabilities related to services performed during war campaigns or policing missions outside metropolitan areas
