The conditions for entering Switzerland are different depending on whether you are leaving for more or less than 3 months. If you are traveling with your child or if they are traveling alone, additional documents will be requested.

You must have a valid national identity card or passport.

If your identity card was issued between 1^er January 2004 and December 31, 2013, it shall remain valid for a further 5 years after the expiry date. You can use it to enter Switzerland.
