Are you entitled to the RSA when you are on maternity leave?

Verified 22 December 2023 - Legal and Administrative Information Directorate (Prime Minister)

Yes, if you are on maternity leave, you can receive the RSA: titleContent.

To do this, you must meet the conditions to qualify as a young parent or single parent.

If your maternity leave is covered by Social Security, the daily allowances you receive are considered income. They are then taken into account to calculate the RSA you will receive.

For more information, see the Package Leaflet of the quarterly resource reporting form.

You should also contact your Caf: titleContent or, if you are under the agricultural plan, your MSA: titleContent.
