Are you entitled to the RSA when you are on maternity leave?

Verified 06 March 2025 - Directorate for Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister)

Yes, if you are on maternity leave, you can collect the RSA: titleContent.

To do this, you must meet the conditions to qualify as a young parent or single parent.

If your maternity leave is covered by Social Security, the daily allowances you receive are considered income. They are then taken into account to calculate the RSA you will receive.

To learn more, you should contact your Caf: titleContent or, if you are under the agricultural plan, your MSA: titleContent.
