Simplified procedure "accompanying family"

You are a non-European foreigner and you have a "talent passport" or "ICT mention" residence card or a one-year residence certificate for Algerian "scientific" mention in France? Your family can benefit from the simplified procedure accompanying family. We will explain the procedure to follow.

Your family can benefit from the simplified procedure accompanying family and get a talent passport "family" residence card without going through the application for family reunification.

Your spouse and minor children receive a talent family passport multi-year residence card.

You have a residence card marked "ICT posted employee", "ICT mobile employee", "ICT trainee" or "ICT mobile trainee".

Your family can benefit from the simplified procedure accompanying family.

The “ accompanying family includes the person you are married to and your minor children. The simplified procedure allows them to come to France for the duration of your stay, without going through the family reunification procedure.

They need to get a long-stay visa at the French consulate of their country of residence.

This procedure is applicable even if your family arrives in France after you or if you marry after your arrival in France.

If your family members are already in France with long-stay visas, your spouse must apply for a residence card at the prefecture of his or her place of residence. Your minor children are exempt from the residence card until they reach the age of majority.

Documents to be provided
  • Long-stay visa or valid residence permit
  • Passport (pages concerning civil status, validity dates, entry stamps and visas). Otherwise, other supporting documents (e.g. consular certificate, identity card, consular card).
  • 3 photos. If the request is made on the internet: enter the code of the e-photo (provided by the photographer or the approved cabin on the photo board).
  • Your spouse or parent's residence card (or identity card)
  • Extract of marriage certificate bearing the most recent mention or extracts of birth certificate of children with filiation (documents corresponding to the situation at the time of application)
  • Proof of payment of stamp duty (to be submitted at the time of issue of the license)

Your spouse and your adult children receive a multi-year residence card ICT seconded employee (family), ICT mobile worker (family), ICT trainee (family) or ICT mobile trainee (family).

The duration of this card is equal to the remaining period of validity of your stay. It entitles the holder to pursue any professional activity.
