Go to Book: the great celebration of books for youth until July 23, 2023

From June 22 to July 23, 2023, the Youth Literature Festival Go to Book is back for his 9editing. Go to BookHowever, it is the book that meets young audiences, where they live and vacation. Its goal is to transmit the pleasure of reading to children and adolescents from 0 to 18 years.

This literary festival is organized by the National Book Center (CNL), with the participation of the Salon du livre et de la presse jeunesse en Seine-Saint-Denis and the support of the Ministry of Culture. It is an opportunity to take part in many activities around the book, free of charge and accessible to all.

The tour of the "Livodrome"

Traveling literary amusement park, the 

Livrodrome

 get back on the road this year. Its tour de France consists of 8 stages: Paris for its launch (June 22 and 23), Coucy-le-Château (June 29), Toul (June 30), Tulle (July 4), Brive-la-Gaillarde (July 7), Chalon-sur-Saône (July 11), Lyon (July 18) and finally Marseille (July 21). In each city, workshops, games, shows, and meetings with more than 100 authors and illustrators are organized.

A bibliography on the theme of freedom

The theme of this edition is freedom. At the heart of the festival is the heroine of comic book Mortuel Adèle, created by Antoine Dole and illustrated by Diane Le Feyer. Journalist and youth literature expert Nathalie Le Breton has also developed a bibliography of some 50 titles.

To enable the public to afford these books, a €12 Reading Check will be distributed.

A digital experience

This year, Go to Book has a new partner: Nabook. This digital platform for children's literature offers a selection of 8 series free of charge. Your children aged 7 to 14 will be able to discover a new reading experience, from a smartphone or tablet.

Read, even on motorways

A selection of books will be made available to young holidaymakers in 10 areas of the VINCI Motorways network. They can be consulted for a break in the specially designed "reading areas". Nearly 25,000 books will also be available to readers this summer.
