Do you want to work with children and teenagers and run holiday camps? The Bafa is for you! It is available from the age of 16 and the Family Allowance Fund helps you finance it. Service-Public.fr gives you all the information.

The Bafa and the BAFD are essential for working in a leisure center or a holiday camp.
The training takes place in 3 stages:
the first two phases are organized around a theoretical session called general training and a practical training course;
the last phase is a
qualifying or deepening session
.
Reminder
To become a facilitator, you can enroll in BAFA training from the age of 15 and be at least 16 on the first day of the general training session.
Subscribe to Bafa
To register, go to the website dedicated to the Bafa/BAFD. If you are under 18, you must provide parental permission. Different training organizations are available.
Financing your Bafa
Bafa training is not free and can be expensive. It's not a fixed cost; it varies from agency to agency. The budget ranges from €700 to €1,000 for full training.
What help from the Caf?
The Fund for Family Allowances (CAF) offers assistance of €200 to finance the Bafa, without any means test. To be eligible for this support, you must have followed the last deepening or qualification session.
The request for assistance is made on the website of the Caf in the tab My efforts/Apply for benefits. It may be carried out within Maximum 3 months following registration for the last phase of deepening.
The financial assistance is increased by €15.24 if you take a training course during the in-depth training course focusing on childcare.
FYI
Additional aid is offered by the CAFS at local level but also at regional level: county or regional councils, town halls, company committees, associations, organizers of settlements and recreational facilities. Check with your Cf! Young people who are accompanied in their formalities and advised by a training organization will not have to advance the costs.
Reminder
For Civic Service volunteers between 1er January 2022 and December 31, 2023, additional state aid to Bafa de €100 has been set up. Your Bafa/BAFD registration must be scheduled between 1er January 2023 and 1er September 2024. This €100 reduction is automatically applied to the price of the training delivered by the authorized bodies.
