Every person has a Personal Training Account (PTA) from the time of entry into the labor market until retirement. This account is used to finance part or all of vocational training.

A decree of 29 April 2024 sets out new obligations for the use of the CPF as of may 2, 2024. One compulsory flat-rate contribution of €100 is set up for people who want to use their personal training account.

This amount is indexed to inflation and may be revalued each year at 1er January by ministerial order.

Who is affected by the mandatory flat-rate participation?

Active persons wishing to finance training with their PTC will have to pay the flat rate contribution of €100.

However, it does not apply in certain cases:

  • you are a jobseeker;
  • your training is abundant from your employer;
  • you want to mobilize all or some of the points of your prevention business account (C2P) ;
  • accident at work you want to retrain and you use the abundance due to a permanent disability of at least 10% (victims of a therapeutic or occupational disease).

FYI

if the CPF does not cover the total cost of the fees, other actors can supplement the financing (you, your employer, your operator of competence, OPCO, the regional council, the departmental council, your city hall, France Travail, etc.).

Additional costs related to the training (mobility, transport, meals) are excluded from the cost of the support.
