What is an insertion CDD (CDDI)?

The fixed-term employment contract (CDDI) is a contract open to unemployed persons who encounter particular social and occupational difficulties.

The CSD: titleContent insertion (CDDI) applies if you are recruited by an insertion company (EI), an intermediate association (IA) or an insertion workshop and site (ACI).

You are affected if you are unemployed and have particular social and occupational difficulties:

  • You are under 26 years of age and in great difficulty
  • You collect social minima such as the RSA: titleContent
  • You are a long-term job seeker
  • You're a recognized worker with a disability.

General case

The CDDI is signed for a minimum of 4 months (unless you have been convicted and have received a sentence adjustment).

The contract is renewable for a total period of 24 months.

It may, however, be renewed after two years to enable the completion of a vocational training operation which is in progress at the end of the contract.

Employee aged 50 or over

The CDDI is signed for a minimum of 4 months (unless you have been convicted and have received a sentence adjustment).

The contract is renewable for a total period of 24 months.

However, it can be renewed after 2 years to help you get in.

The extension is granted by Pôle emploi after consideration of your situation.

Disability

The CDDI is signed for a minimum of 4 months (unless you have been convicted and have received a sentence adjustment).

The contract is renewable for a total period of 24 months.

However, it can be renewed after 2 years to help you get in.

The extension is granted by Pôle emploi after consideration of your situation.

The minimum working time of the employee is fixed at 20 hours per week.

It may vary over the whole or part of the period covered by the contract, without exceeding 35 hours.

FYI  

You can, during his contract, benefit from a period of placement in an occupational situation with another employer.

You are paid at least Smic: titleContent (€1,766.92 per month).

You can ask for the suspension of the CDDI in the following cases:

  • Perform a workplace assessment prescribed by Pôle emploi
  • Perform an action to help you get a job (however, you must get the agreement of your employer)
  • Completing a probationary period related to a job offer for a DTA: titleContent or CSD: titleContent at least 6 months

In the event of employment following the workplace assessment or trial period, the CDDI is terminated immediately. There's no notice.

The CDDI may be terminated before its expiry, at your request, to enable you to take training leading to a qualification. In these circumstances, in terms of unemployment insurance entitlements, a break is considered to be a lawful resignation.
