What is an Insertion CDD (CDDI)?

The fixed-term employment contract (CDDI) is open to people who are unemployed and have particular social and professional difficulties. Thus, young people under 26 years of age, workers with disabilities or persons who have benefited from RSA: titleContent can sign a CDDI. The contract may not exceed 24 months.

The CDD: titleContent (CDDI) applies to persons recruited by an insertion company (EI), an intermediate association (AI) or a workshop and insertion site (ACI).

These are people who are unemployed and have particular social and professional difficulties:

  • Young people under 26 years of age in great difficulty
  • People who receive social benefits such as RSA: titleContent
  • Long-term job applicants
  • Disabled workers

General case

The CDDI shall be signed for a minimum period of 4 months (except for persons who have been convicted and who have received a sentence).

The contract shall be renewable for a total period of 24 months.

It may, however, be renewed beyond 2 years to allow completion of a vocational training action in progress at the end of the contract.

Employee 50 years or older

The CDDI shall be signed for a minimum period of 4 months (except for persons who have been convicted and who have received a sentence).

The contract shall be renewable for a total period of 24 months.

However, it can be renewed beyond 2 years to promote employee integration. The extension is granted by Pôle emploi after a review of the employee's situation.

Handicap

The CDDI shall be signed for a minimum period of 4 months (except for persons who have been convicted and who have received a sentence).

The minimum working time of the employee shall be 20 hours per week.

It may vary throughout or part of the period covered by the contract, without exceeding 35 hours.

the employee may, during his contract, benefit from period of employment another employer.

The employee in employment shall be paid at least Smic: titleContent (€1,678.95 per month).

Employee may request suspension in the following cases:

  • Conduct a workplace assessment prescribed by Pôle emploi
  • Perform an action in support of his/her employment (however, he/she must obtain the agreement of his/her employer)
  • Complete a trial period related to a job offer for employment in CDI: titleContent or CDD: titleContent at least 6 months

In the event of employment following the workplace assessment or the trial period, the CDDI is immediately terminated. There is no advance notice.

The CDDI may be discontinued before its completion, at the request of the employee, to allow him or her to undergo training leading to a qualification. In these circumstances, with respect to the rights to unemployment insurance, the breach is considered a legitimate resignation.
