The Young Workers' Home (JTF) or Youth Habitat is a residence that houses young, precarious workers (for example, those on low incomes) aged 16 to 25 (sometimes 30). The resident signs an occupancy contract with the home manager. The duration of the accommodation is from a few months to maximum 2 years.

The Young Workers' Home (JTF) or Youth Habitat offers accommodation with both rooms and common areas (for example, restaurant, laundry, computer room, library).

The resident signs a contract of occupation with the home manager, specifying in particular his conditions of admission and accommodation.

The FJT is aimed at young people aged 16 to 25 (sometimes 30) who are in a precarious situation (low income, for example) and who are engaged in professional activity or vocational training.

Who shall I contact

The home manager signs an occupancy contract with the resident. This contract shall include the following:

  • Admission requirements
  • Contract Start Date
  • Contract Termination Terms
  • Monthly rent and all related services (e.g. laundry, leisure activities, catering)
  • Security deposit amount
  • Description of the premises and facilities for the resident and the collective spaces provided

Accommodation costs generally include:

  • Monthly fee
  • Security deposit equal to 1 month royalty (amount paid on departure of the resident)
  • Individual contribution to ancillary services

The duration of the accommodation is from a few months to maximum 2 years.

The resident can accommodate one or more persons in his room. In this case, the maximum duration of accommodation for these persons is 3 months.

The resident has the obligation to declare the accommodation in advance to the home manager. This statement can be made by any means.

Warning  

the rules of procedure may provide for the payment of lump-sum additional costs (not exceeding a certain sum) for the accommodation of one or more persons.

At the initiative of the President

The resident may terminate his contract at any time, by registered letter with notice of receipt, within a period of 8 days to notify the home manager.

The notice begins on the day the manager receives the mail and signs the acknowledgement.

During the 8 days, the resident must continue to pay the fee.

At the initiative of the home manager

The home manager may terminate the resident's contract at any time by registered letter with notice of receipt within a period of time to notify the resident. This time limit differs from case to case.

Failure to fulfill the resident's obligations (fee, rules of procedure)

These include, for example, the non-payment of 3 fees, the non-compliance with the internal rules of the household.

The manager must meet a one-month deadline to notify the resident that he will terminate the contract.
