Following a marriage
The name on a driving license issued since 2013 is birth name (surname).
Therefore, the administration does not issue a new permit in the case of marriage.
It is therefore not no need to report your common name.
After a divorce
You can apply for a new driving license if your common name is indicated on your permit and you only want the indication of your surname.
The application is made online on the website of theANTS: titleContent.
You need the following:
- Divorce judgment or divorce agreement registered by a notary
- Photo code and digital signature
If you do not have access to a photo and digital signature service, you are invited to fill in and mail a photo-signature form (FPS) during the teleprocedure. - Supporting documents in numeric format (identity document, proof of domicile)
- E-mail address or mobile phone number to be informed of the progress of the instruction and the production of the driving license
