Shared Child Education Benefit (PreParE)
Verified 18 August 2022 - Legal and Administrative Information Directorate (Prime Minister)
The shared child-rearing benefit (PreParE) is part of the child-rearing benefit (Paje). It allows one or both parents with at least one dependent child under 3 years of age (or under 20 years of age in the case of adoption) to stop or reduce their work in order to take care of them. The duration of the payment depends on the number of dependent children and the family situation. In some cases it may be limited to 1to child's birthday. In case of inactivity before receiving this benefit, the parent may receive training.
What applies to you ?
If you have at least 3 dependent children, you can choose between the shared child education benefit and the shared child education benefit increased.
The increased PreParE has a higher amount than the PreParE, but it is paid for less time.
Warning
