The premium Successful renovation of a collective residential building is a premium that is awarded for the overall renovation of condominiums.

This overall renovation must correspond to a set of works, says work package, which enables a high level of energy savings to be achieved.

Prior to the commencement of the work, an energy audit must be carried out to define the work to be carried out.

The premium shall be awarded by the companies who have signed the Charter Helping Hand Renovation of a Collective Residential Building. These are mainly energy suppliers (or their partners).

The work must be carried out by a professional recognized guarantor of the environment (EGR).

The premium is for condominium pool who requests it through the condominium trustee.

The condominium must have at least 75% of the total heated area intended for the dwelling.

To be eligible for the premium, the work must be undertaken (signed estimate) before 31 december 2025 and completed before 31 december 2026.

The work must meet the criteria of the overall renovation of a collective residential building (metropolitan France) of the Ministry responsible for the Ecological Transition.

This work should lead to a reduction in annual primary energy consumption (without deducting the electricity production you consume or sell) of at least 35%.

This annual reduction in consumption must relate to the following installations:

  • Heating
  • Cooling
  • Production of domestic hot water
  • Lighting
  • Auxiliaries for heating, cooling, domestic hot water and ventilation

FYI

if changes of heating equipment are planned and connection to a heat network is possible, this connection is compulsory in order to benefit from the premium. If the work involves a change of heating, priority shall be given to the connection to a heat network.

The companies who signed the Charter Helping Hand Renovation of a Collective Residential Building must offer you a complete support for the execution of the work.

An energy audit must be carried out before work is started.

This audit makes it possible to know the energy and thermal characteristics of the building.

It also defines the work to be done to improve the energy performance of the building and quantifies the corresponding energy consumption before and after the work.

To have this energy audit carried out, the trustee must select a professional from the list of professionals certified EGR for the audit or the overall renovation. A directory can be used to search for an EGR professional:

Attention Points

It is strongly recommended to respect the following:

  • Sign and date the quotation in handwriting
  • Verify that the premium relates exclusively to works and that the estimate clearly specifies their nature (marks, references, performance ...). If it's personalized advice, for example, it won't be eligible for a bonus.
  • If the work is performed by a subcontractor, verify that the quote includes the name of the subcontractor and that the work will be performed by the subcontractor
  • Verify that the quote does not include a down payment the date of payment of which would be before the signature of the contract with the signatory company (this statement is false and prohibited)

The amount of the premium varies according to the offers of the companies that have signed the Coup de pouce charter, but they must respect a certain minimum amount.

These amounts are calculated in euro per megawatt-hour (MWh) of annual conventional final energy consumption saved for the renovated building.

These amounts differ depending on whether the work generates more or less 50% of renewable heat after work.

Tableau - Amount determined according to the nature of the work

Nature of work

More than 50% renewable heat after work

Less than or equal to 50 % renewable heat after work
