Premium "Boost of a successful renovation of a single home"

Verified 28 mai 2021 - Legal and Administrative Information Directorate (Prime Minister)

Premium Boost for a successful renovation of an individual home is awarded to carry out a comprehensive renovation of your individual home. The work must reduce primary energy consumption (heating, air conditioning and hot water) by at least 55%. In order to qualify for the premium, your work must be initiated (signed quote) before 31 December 2025 and completed before 31 December 2026.

The Boost for a successful renovation of an individual home is a bonus that is awarded for the overall renovation of your individual home.

This overall renovation must correspond to a set of works, says work bouquet, which enables a high level of energy savings to be achieved.

Prior to the start of the work, an energy audit is required to define the work to be carried out.

The premium is paid by the companies who signed the Charter A boost Performance renovation of an individual home. These are mainly energy suppliers (or their partners).

Work must be performed by a professional recognised as a guarantor of the environment (GR).

You can benefit from the premium if you own a single house that has been completed for more than 2 years.

Your house must be located in Metropolitan France.

This can be your main residence or secondary.

If you are a tenant of an individual home, you can present the premium feature Boost for a successful renovation of an individual home to your owner to encourage him to carry out work.

An energy audit must be carried out before the work is carried out.

This audit allows you to know the energy and thermal characteristics of your home.

It also allows you to define the work to be done to improve the energy performance of your home and quantify the corresponding energy consumption before and after work.

To perform this energy audit, you can select a professional from the list of RGE Certified Professionals for the global audit or renovation. A directory is at your disposal.

Attention Points

It is strongly recommended that:

  • Sign and date the quote handwritten (by hand)
  • Check that the premium is exclusively for work and that the quotation clearly indicates the nature of the work (brands, references, performance, ...). For example, if the advice is personalised, it will not qualify for a premium.
  • If the work is done by a subcontractor, verify that the quote mentions the subcontractor's name and the fact that the work will be done by the subcontractor
  • Verify that the quote does not include a quote deposit the payment date of which would be before the signature of your contract with the signatory company (this is false and forbidden)

The amount of the premium varies according to the offers of the companies signatories of the Coup de pouce charter, but they must respect a certain minimum amount.

These amounts are calculated in euro per megawatt hour (MWh) of annual conventional consumption of final energy saved from the renovated house.

These amounts differ depending on whether your work generates more or less 50% renewable heat after work.

More than 50% renewable heat after work

Amounts fixed according to the nature of the work

Other

With changes of equipment to coal or fuel oil

Example :

To renovate your 90 m² house, you have your gas boiler replaced by a very high energy performance boiler (THPE) and insulate your walls from the outside.

Before the work, you consume 400 kWh/m² of final energy.

After the work, you consume 180 kWh/m² per year in final energy, which represents a final energy gain of 55%, or an equivalent decrease in energy bills per year.

For a total cost of €23,250, a very modest household may receive a €4,950 while other households may receive a €2,970.

The premium shall be paid as follows:

  • Either bank transfer or check
  • Or deducted from your invoice
  • Or in another form (for example, purchase orders)
