Registration of tractors and agricultural vehicles

All farm gear must be registered, whether owned by an individual or attached to a farm.
An agricultural and forestry machine must be obligatory registered like other vehicles.
This obligation applies to all agricultural rolling stock:
- Agricultural tractor (TRA) with wheels or tracks
- Agricultural type self-propelled machine (MAGA), for example a combine harvester
- Agricultural towed vehicle (REA) of which the PTAC is greater than 1,5 tons. These categories are R (trailer and semi-trailer: skip, tray, tool holder, etc.) and S (towed agricultural machine and instrument: sprayer, roller, semi-mounted seeder, for example).
However, the obligations differ according to 2 criteria:
- The vehicle is owned by an individual or is attached to an agricultural, forestry or agricultural equipment use cooperative (Cuma)
- The PTAC: titleContent of the vehicle or trailer
The manufacturer's plate shall be clearly marked with the manufacturer's name or make or the symbol which identifies him, the type, the serial number of the type and the weight characteristics of the vehicle.
If the agricultural vehicle or equipment has a PTAC: titleContent more than 1,5 tons, the manufacturer's plate must also include the address of the manufacturer.
Please note
agricultural vehicles, like all motor vehicles, and the trailer, even if not coupled, must be covered by civil liability insurance. In the case of checks, a certificate of insurance must be submitted.

The application for registration of an agricultural vehicle is to be made on the website of the National Agency for Secure Titles (ANTS).

The holding number Agricultural is now issued as part of the online application for a registration certificate. To obtain it, you must be affiliated to the Agricultural Social Mutual Society (MSA).

The application for registration of an agricultural vehicle is to be made on the website of the National Agency for Secure Titles (ANTS).
The amount of the certificate of registration shall be €13.76 (€11 fixed tax + €2.76 routing fee).
