Please note

The date shown in 3e column in the table (bank transfer) is the date that the first transfers in the refresh period were sent to your bank, and is an update at the beginning of the refresh period. The corresponding amount will appear on your bank account in the following days, depending on the banking deadlines that may vary according to the institutions.

Once the update is done, the transfer of the allowance will appear on your bank account within an average of 3 working days.

On the spot

You can update and renew your registration using the Unidialog kiosks (available only in certain Pôle emploi locations).

Who shall I contact

When you refresh each month, you must:

  1. Let Pôle emploi know if you are still looking for a job
  2. Report to Pôle emploi any change in your personal circumstances that may affect your entitlement to payment of Return-to-Work Allowance (RWA).

If you do not renew, you will no longer be on the list of jobseekers. If that is the case, you will no longer collect the RCA.

If you worked before your re-registration period, you must send a photocopy of your pay slip at your Pôle emploi agency.

If you did not receive a payroll when you updated your situation, you must report the amount received during your period of service to Pôle emploi as soon as possible.

Your situation has changed

You must notify Pôle emploi of any changes to your situation within 72 hours :

  • Resumption of full-time or part-time professional activity, whether employed or not, whatever its duration
  • Entry into training, paid or not
  • Work stoppage for sickness or accident at work
  • Maternity leave
  • Obtaining a disability pension of 2è or 3è categories
  • Retirement
  • Change of address
  • Renaming
  • Absence of habitual residence for more than 7 consecutive days
  • Incarceration
  • If you are a foreigner worker, expiry or renewal of the residence permit

If you make a false declaration voluntarily, Pôle emploi may impose a penalty of up to €3,000.

You're resuming an activity

Unless you declare that you are still looking for a job, the resumption of a professional activity will result in the termination of your registration on the list of jobseekers.

In this case, you will be reclassified to a category of jobseekers not immediately available for employment.

You are considered to be recovering in the following 2 cases:

You receive a 2nd or 3rd category disability pension

If you get a disability pension of 2è or 3è category, you are required to report this amount to Pôle emploi. The competent person for establishing unfitness shall be the occupational or labor doctor.

The Director of the Pôle emploi Agency shall seek the opinion of the medical practitioner in order to check the fitness for work of the person concerned.

  • If the doctor finds that the person is unable to work, it is impossible to maintain the entry on the list of jobseekers.
  • If the ability to work is recognized, it is possible to maintain your registration on the list of jobseekers.

Your residence permit is no longer valid

If you are a foreigner jobseeker and your residence permit is no longer valid, you cease to be listed as a jobseeker.

You must therefore present the renewal of your title after each expiry. A reminder letter is sent to you 30 days before the expiry date of the residence permit.

Other situations

Declaring one of the following events results in your temporary reclassification into a category of jobseekers not immediately available:

  • Participation in a training activity, paid or not, of more than 40 hours
  • Work stoppage for sickness or accident at work of more than 15 days
  • Maternity leave
  • Absence of habitual residence more than 35 days a year
  • Incarceration of more than 15 days

These events may result in the temporary suspension of your unemployment benefits.

If you do not declare your change of situation in Pôle emploi at the end of the month, the hours worked will not be taken into account for recharging your unemployment benefit entitlement.

Remuneration for undeclared periods shall not be included in the reference salary.

In the event of a dispute with Pôle emploi, you can take the matter to a regional joint venture (IPR) in Pôle emploi.

Your request must be sent to the director of your agency by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt. Your advisor can help you prepare your case.

You can also make an ex gratia or contentious appeal to the administrative tribunals. The court having jurisdiction shall be that situated in the territory in which the contested decision was taken. So it's not necessarily the administrative tribunal where you live.
