How to pay local taxes?

Do you want to choose how to pay your property taxes, second home tax and vacancy tax? It's possible. However, when the amount of your tax exceeds €300, you must pay directly online or by direct debit.

Pay directly online
From your computer
On smartphone or tablet
Download the app "Impots.gouv" on Google Play or App Store.
It allows you to pay by one of the following means:
- Enter your tax number and password
- Flush the printed code to the bottom left of 1re page of your tax notice
By Pick at Maturity
Picking is done automatically 10 days after the payment deadline on the tax notice.
You must have one of the following accounts, domiciled in France or Monaco:
- Bank Account
- Booklet A if the direct debit is planned by your bank
You can subscribe to the levy in several ways (online or through your tax department).
You can subscribe to the direct debit due on or before the last day of the month preceding the payment deadline you specify.
For example, until September 30 for a payment deadline of October 15.
After this period, your membership will apply only from the following date.
By Monthly Payment
You can choose to pay your tax by monthly levies.
You must have one of the following accounts, domiciled in France or Monaco:
- Bank Account
- Booklet A if the direct debit is planned by your bank
You can subscribe to the levy in several ways (online or through your tax department).
In 2024, you can subscribe to the monthly levy until 30 June for the payment of the tax for the current year.
After this date, your membership will be applied to the next year's tax payment.
By check
General case
- Make your check payable to the Consolidated Revenue Fund
- Attach the payment stub, which shows the references of the tax you pay
- Send the check and the stub using the return envelope attached to your review
Send your check by mail to the tax department whose address appears on the notice.
You can also deposit it at the service counter.
The check is cashed as soon as it is received.
Non-resident
- Make your check payable to the Consolidated Revenue Fund
- Attach the payment stub, which shows the references of the tax you pay
- Send the check and the stub using the return envelope attached to your review
Send your check to the treasury of the non-residents for the only income from French source.

You have to date it and sign it.
