Under 26: When do I register to vote?

You may already be on the voters list, especially if you were registered ex officio after you made your citizen census. But if you have since moved, or if your parents where you live have moved, you must re-enroll.
You can check if you are registered to vote:

If you are not registered, you must register either on the voters list of a town hall or on a consular voters list.
List of electors of a town hall
You must meet all of the following conditions:
- Being French
- Enjoy your civil and political rights
Namely:
- A European citizen residing in France may to apply for registration on the electoral roll to vote in municipal and European elections in France.
- One person in prison may not be disenfranchised. But it has to go through a particular process.
- One guardianship adult may no longer be disenfranchised, even if the judge's decision predates March 23, 2019.
You can register to vote in one of the following municipalities:
- Municipality of your home
- Municipality in which you have been subject to local taxes (housing tax, company property tax, property tax on built or unbuilt property) for at least 2 years
- Municipality of your residence, if you have lived there effectively and continuously for at least 6 months
- Municipality where you are required to reside as an official
- Municipality where the business, of which you have been the manager or majority or sole partner for at least 2 years, has been registered in the role of municipal contributions for at least 2 years
Namely:
- If you are staying with a relative (for example, a relative) or a friend, you can be registered in the municipality where you are staying.
- If you are SDF: titleContent, you can be registered in the municipality of the organization where you have chosen to live.
Reminder
certain persons are subject to a specific registration procedure:
- One French who turns 18 is automatically registered to vote if he or she has made a representation citizen census from the age of 16.
- One person who became french after 2018 is automatically registered to vote.

Warning
to vote in a particular election, you must respect a deadline.
The electoral map is mailed to your home no later than 3 days before 1er election round (or referendum).
If your electoral map was not distributed to you before the election or referendum, it is kept at the polling station. You can retrieve it by presenting a identity document.
Consular List of Electors (Abroad)
You must meet all of the following conditions:
