You want to build a veranda. You must obtain a city planning authorization before starting your work.

Depending on the situation of the land and the surface of your project, you must file a prior declaration of works or an application for a building permit. We're presenting the regulations.

Your construction is located in an urban area of a PLU or POS

The choice of city planning authorization depends on the surface area of your building.

Creation of 20 m² or less

The construction of a veranda of more than 5 m² is subject to Advance Work Statement (AD) when sound ground right of way and sadness floor area are less than 20 m².

Creation of 20 to 40 m²

The construction of a veranda of more than 5 m² is subject to Advance Work Statement (AD) when sound ground right of way and sadness floor area are less than 40 m².

Warning  

You must apply for a building permit and use an architect if the construction of the veranda brings the total surface of the house to more than 150 m².

Creation of more than 40 m²

Your project is subject to building permit when sound ground right of way or sadness floor area are more than 40 m².

Warning  

You must have recourse to an architect if the house is more than 150 m² before work or if the construction of the veranda brings its total surface to more than 150 m².

Other situations

Creation of 20 m² or less
