Conversion premium from 1 500 to 3 000 € per person

If you scrap an old vehicle (car or van before 2006 for petrol engines, and before 2011 for diesel) that you have owned for more than a year, you can benefit from a conversion premium increased to 40% of the purchase price of the electric assisted bike up to a limit of €1,500, regardless of your income level. This premium can be paid to each member of the same household buying an electric bicycle, folding, cargo, etc., until 31 December 2023, when it was previously unique, by old vehicle scrapped.

If your tax income per unit is less than or equal to €6,358, or if you are disabled, this premium can reach €3,000 (or always 40% of the purchase price of the bike).

If you live in a low-emission area and your local authority has provided you with assistance to buy or rent an electric bicycle, this premium is increased by €1,000.

FYI

The bonus and the conversion premium can be combined with local aid, if the local authority where you live has provided for one. Some regions (Île-de-France, Grand Est, Pays de Loire, Occitanie, Corsica) and several cities grant aid of up to €600, and are in addition to State aid without being included in the ceiling calculation.

Only one application must be submitted for both aids.
