You were born between the 1ster July 2004 and 30 June 2005? You are then eligible for the program Discover EU.

Between 15 and 29 March 2023 (at 12:00), you can apply for free train tickets under the European Discover EU program, proposed by the European Commission. If selected, you have access to tickets to travel to Europe for up to 30 days, during the period between 15 June 2023 and 30 September 2024.

Don't wait any longer to apply on the European Youth Portal !

Please note

The call is open to applicants from the European Union or third countries associated with the program Erasmus+, such as Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia and Turkey.

To apply, you will have to identify yourself on the European Youth Portal, then answer a quiz testing your general knowledge about the European Union and EU initiatives for young people, and finally answer a subsidiary question. Candidates receive a certain number of points, which helps establish a ranking. The tickets are then allocated on the basis of this classification, until they are exhausted.

Selection is also based on the candidate's nationality, with each country having a certain quota of allocated tickets.

FYI

As social inclusion is a top priority of the Erasmus+ program, participants with disabilities or health problems will receive assistance during their journey.

In 2023, the young winners will be able to discover the New European Bauhaus, proposed to inspire young travelers in their choice of destination. Discover EU aims to introduce European youth to cultural routes across Europe. Thus the destinations offered combine various cultural disciplines (architecture, music, fine arts, theater, fashion, design...) and include the European capitals of culture, places belonging to the UNESCO World Heritage or having received the European Heritage label.

The winners will also receive a discount card for their trip offering more than 40,000 discount options on public transport, cultural venues, accommodation, food, sports, etc.
