How do I get real estate information?

Access to real estate information varies according to the year of registration of the documents in the land advertising service. We'll tell you how to do that.
Any person physics or morality may request information about a property.
You can obtain the following information:
- Identity of successive owners
- Prices of the various sales
- Copy of Real Estate Sales Documents
- Donation.
The request for documents or information changes depending on the registration period before or after 1er january 1956 in the mortgage records.
Built after 1956
You must apply to the land advertising department which is the real estate information service. It informs you on the legal situation of a building.
You can request information from the property advertising department:
- On one or more buildings
- On one or more buildings on which one or more persons designated in the application have right in rem in immovable property.
The information delivered takes the form of a copy of one or more handwritten cards or a computer response from the date of computerization. For example, you can request a copy of the co-ownership rules.
The official real estate information service has 10 days to answer you. Alternatively, you can enter the Commission for Access to Administrative Documents (Canada).

Built before 1956

Modes of payment of registration fees are:
- Cash up to €300
- Check to the public treasury where the amount is less than €1,000
- Certified Check to the public treasury where the amount exceeds €1,000
- Transfer.
A shipping fee is charged if you wish to obtain the answer by post.
