Step-by-step approach
You can drive a car light motorcycle with a B-permit if you complete the 2 conditions following:
- You have the B-permit since at least 2 years
- You followed a training practice of 7 hours
Please note
if you have followed the training 3-hour practice before 2011No, you don't need to retrain.
You are exempted from the training in the following 2 cases:
- You obtained your B license (with A1 equivalence) before March 1980
- You drove a car light motorcycle or a 3-wheel scooter from the category L5e between 2006 and 2010 and you have had a B license for 2 years or more.
Warning
if you have a B license European, you must take the training.
You can take the 7-hour hands-on training in a 1-month delay the anniversary date of 2 years to obtain the B-permit.
Example :
If you received the B license on December 20, 2021, you can take the training as of November 20, 2023.
The 7-hour training includes 3 modules :
- Module theoretical of 2 hours : analysis of accidents, driving in the rain or at night, protective clothing equipment...
- Module out of circulation of 2 hours : discovery of the vehicle, know how to make the necessary checks...
- Module in circulation of 3 hours (in and out of built-up areas): adapting speed to situations, negotiating a turn...
The price of the 7-hour training is between €250 and €300 depending on the authorized driving schools or associations.
