The dates of the parliamentary elections

Parliamentary elections will take place on Sunday, June 12 and 19, 2022. The decree summoning voters for the election of deputies to the National Assembly was published in the Official Journal of 26 April 2022.

Parliamentary elections will take place in Metropolitan France, Réunion and Mayotte on Sunday 12 and 19 June 2022 for the nomination of the 577 deputies, including 11 French members established outside France.

By way of derogation, for the foreigner Frenchmen and voters of certain overseas departments and authorities, the parliamentary elections will be held:

  • French Polynesia: June 4 and 18, 2022.
  • Americas and Caribbean Zone: June 4-18, 2022.
  • Rest of the world: June 5-19, 2022.
  • Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique, St-Barthélémy, St-Martin, St-Pierre and Miquelon:
    on 11 and 18 June 2022.


The parliamentary elections of 12 and 19 June 2022 renew the National Assembly in its entirety. The Constitution sets the maximum number of members at 577. The 577 seats are distributed at a rate of 558 for the departments, 8 for New Caledonia and the overseas authorities, 11 for the foreigners.
