How to convert a military driving license into a civilian driving license?

If you have a military driver's license (driving license), you can get it validated in civilian. We present the conditions to be fulfilled and how to make the request.

The military driving certificate shall be issued to military personnel who do not have a license to drive one of the Ministry of Defense vehicles.

It allows to drive vehicles corresponding to the licenses of categories A (motorcycle), B (car), C (transport of goods), D (passenger transport).

Individuals should follow a training and pass an examination.

The military driving certificate, as soon as the military authority validates it, to obtain a civil driving license without having to take another exam.

You must have the age required for the requested permit (A, B, C or D).

For a category C or D license, you must have a medical opinion driving ability.

Category A and B patent

Prepare the scanned version of the following documents:

  • Conversion component of the military patent, signed by the military authority
  • Proof of identity
  • Proof of domicile less than 6 months
  • Digital photo-signature . If you want to send a photo ID in paper format, it is proposed to download and send the photo signature deposit form (FPS) during the online procedure.

Category C patent

Prepare the scanned version of the following documents:

  • Conversion component of the military patent, signed by the military authority
  • Proof of identity
  • Proof of domicile less than 6 months
