How to convert a military driving license into a civilian driving license?

You have validated your military driving license and you want to convert it to a civilian driving license? We present the conditions to be fulfilled and how to make the request.

The military driving license is issued to military personnel who do not hold a driving license to drive the vehicles of the Ministry of Defense.

Those involved must undergo training and pass an examination.

As soon as it is validated by the military authority, the patent makes it possible to obtain a civilian driving license without having to pass a new examination.

You must meet the following 2 conditions:

  • Have the required age for the requested permit (A, B, C or D)
  • Have the medical opinion of fitness to drive established by a medical officer if required for the license category requested

Category A and B patent

  • Conversion component of the military patent, signed by the military authority
  • Proof of identity
  • Proof of domicile less than 6 months
  • Digital photo-signature
    If you do not have access to a photo and digital signature service, you are invited to fill in and mail a photo-signature form (FPS) during the teleprocedure.
Category C patent

  • Digital photo-signature

  • Copy of the certificate of completion of the training of driver of goods or passenger vehicles if you are under 21 years of age
Category D patent

  • Proof of identity
  • Proof of domicile less than 6 months
  • Digital photo-signature

  • Medical advice (form) cerfa no. 14880)
  • Copy of the certificate of completion of training as a driver of a goods or passenger vehicle

If you do not have ANTS credentials, it is proposed to create an account to have a personal space on the ANTS website.
