School Road Safety Certificate (ASSR)

What is the purpose of the School Road Safety Certificate (SRA)? What a difference between ASR of 1er level (ASSR1) and ASSR of 2e level (ASSR2)? At what age do students have to pass these certificates? Does it pay? Who must have a ASSR2 to obtain a driving license? Here are the rules for ASSR1 and ASSR2.

School Road Safety Certificates (ASRs) of 1er level (ASSR1) and 2e level (ASSR2) are obtained under compulsory education in road safety rules.

SRAs are issued during school time after a theoretical knowledge check.

In general, students pass the RSAs at the college :

  • the ASSR1, class of 5e and before age 14,
  • and the ASSR2 in class of 3e and before 16.

To register for BSR practical training (category AM of driving license)

One person born in 1988 or later requires ASSR 1 or ASSR2 to validate the theoretical part of the BSR: titleContent.

FYI  

the BSR corresponds to the driving license category AM. It allows you to drive a moped or light motor quadricycle if you were born in 1988 or later.

To obtain a 1st category of driving license

One person under 21 years of age must have theASSR: titleContent2 to get a 1re category of driving license A Permit or A2 (motorcycle license), or B-permit (car license) or B1 permit (heavy motor quadricycle license.

if you can't get the ASSR2, you need to get the Road Safety Certificate (RSC).

ASSR1

The ASSR1 is organized for the following students:

  • Student of class of 5e or corresponding level
  • Student of a other class and reaching age 14 during calendar year.

ASSR2

The ASSR2 is organized for the following students:

  • Student of class of 3e or corresponding level
  • Student of a other class and reaching age 16 during calendar year
  • Student who has over 16 years and who is enrolled in a school

Passing the ASSR1 or ASSR2 is free.

The trials of ASSR: titleContent take place every year during the school time, between beginning of 2nd quarter and the end of the school year.

Student in France

Student enrolled in a school

The school in which the pupil is attending takes care of registering him in the ASSR tests.

Student enrolled in Cned

If the student is enrolled in the Cned: titleContent, a written request must be addressed to the Academic Director of National Education Services (DASEN) of department of residence.

Pupil in family education (home school)

If the student is following a family education (home school), a written request must be addressed to the Academic Director of National Education Services (DASEN) of department of residence.

Student attending a private non-contract school

If the student is enrolled in a non-contract private institution, the warden registers it in an institution that organizes the ASSR events.

Student educated abroad

Student enrolled in a French school

If the student is enrolled in a french establishment abroad belonging to the network of the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE), the establishment is in charge of registering it to the ASSR tests.

Student enrolled in a foreigners school

You must contact the french consular authorities to find out how registration for the ASSR events is done in a nearby French establishment.

Student enrolled in Cned

You must contact the french consular authorities to find out how registration for the ASSR events is done in a nearby French establishment.

Please note

if the student has a visual impairment preventing it from passing the ASSR tests, a adapted test is offered. One certificate of education on the road (AER) shall be issued to him upon success. However, having the EAR does not entitle you to register to learn how to drive a vehicle and to obtain a driving license.

The student can also prepare the HSA tests on the national road safety certification platform.

The platform is accessible from a computer or tablet.

The platform is accessible with the URL transmitted by the organization of the event.

The student must use:

  • Either the identifiers of sound EduConnect account
  • Either the access codes which were sent to him for the examination.

Prepare and take the ASR, ASR, AER tests on the national platform

The student passes the ASSR tests on the national road safety certification platform.

The platform is accessible from a computer or tablet.

The platform is accessible with the URL transmitted by the organization of the event.

The student must use:

  • Either the identifiers of sound EduConnect account
  • Either the access codes which were sent to him for the examination.

Prepare and take the ASR, ASR, AER tests on the national platform

The test shall comprise 20 questions to multiple choice.

Before each question, the student views a footage.

The questions concern traffic, passengers, speed, citizen behavior, first aid, health and risky driving...

The student must have 10/20 or more to obtain the ASSR 1 or ASSR2.

He can know your grade from 6pm, on the day of the examination, by connecting to the national road safety certification platform.

The platform is accessible with the URL transmitted by the organization of the event.

The student must use:

  • Either the identifiers of sound EduConnect account
  • Either the access codes which were sent to him for the examination.

Prepare and take the ASR, ASR, AER tests on the national platform

If successful, the school where the student took the ASR test issues him the diploma of ASSR1 or ASSR2, as the case may be.

Reminder

the SRAs do not authorize the driving of a motor vehicle.

If the student fails (less than 10 /20), he or she can attend a catch-up test.

Students should check with the school where they completed the ASSR to find out the date of the catch-up session.

If the catch-up session fails (less than 10/20), the student should inquire with the school whether he can take the test again the following year.

In the event of loss or theft of the ASSR 1 or ASSR2, a written request should be addressed to the school where the student took the test.

The application must attest to success ASSR1 or ASSR2, as applicable.

Specify the surname and forename of the pupil, the establishment and the year of the test session, and attach a certificate of loss or theft of the ASSR.

The institution will issue a duplicate or a certificate of achievement.

The expense related to the cost of reproduction and shipping may be requested.
