If you live in the foreigner, you can vote for most of the French elections (election of foreigner French councillors, presidential, legislative, referendum, European) from the foreigner, provided you are registered on the consular list of electors. However, for regional, departmental and local elections, you must be registered on the electoral list of a municipality.

Be careful, it is no longer possible to be registered at the same time on the electoral list of a commune and on a consular electoral list.

Therefore, by registering on a new French electoral list, your previous registration is automatically deleted.
