For a caravan, the rules to follow depend on the length of time it is installed in your garden. But if you are a mobile home, it is forbidden to install it in your garden, regardless of the length of installation.

Caravan

Less than 3 months per year

You may install your caravan in your garden without permission if you do not use it as a dwelling or as an annex to your dwelling.

The caravan must keep its means of mobility (wheels, traction bar, ...) at all times in order to leave its location at all times.

  Warning : local planning rules (local planning plan or communal card) may impose specific restrictions in the event of an installation of less than 3 months. Remember to consult the planning department of your town hall.

The installation of your caravan in your garden is subject to a prior declaration to deposit in the town hall.

You must use form cerfa n°13404:

Prior declaration (construction, works, installations and developments not subject to building permits)
