Money and consumption

Transport

If you have passed your driver's license examination in an automatic transmission, you must undergo 7 hours of training in order to be able to drive a vehicle with manual transmission. A decree issued in Official Journal on 13 february 2024, the terms of the eco-bonus for the purchase or rental of a vehicle were amended. National aid for the purchase of a bicycle is extended until 2027, as confirmed by the decree of 12 February 2024. Tolls are increasing by an average of 3% on major motorway networks. The new taxi fares come into effect on 1^er February. Electric leasing ends for 2024.

Two decrees issued in Official Journal on 17 february 2024, a new flat-rate payment will be made for consultations and medical procedures, and medical exemptions will be doubled, particularly for medicines and medical transport. The rules are relaxed for the renewal of parental leave and the daily parental attendance allowance (DPA), both in the private sector and in the public service. With influenza virus circulation still active, the influenza vaccination campaign is being extended until 29 February 2024. A new treatment for vitiligo is 100% covered by Health Insurance.

Citizenship Papers

Find the dates of the population census in 2024. For municipalities with less than 10,000 inhabitants: until 17 February; from 1^er February to March 2 in La Réunion and Mayotte. For municipalities with more than 10,000 inhabitants: until 24 February; from 1^er February to March 9 in La Réunion and Mayotte. The dematerialized permit is available on France Identité from February 14. The videocomplaint system, tested by the Interior Ministry in the departments of Sarthe and Yvelines, will gradually be extended to the rest of France, as indicated by the decree of February 23, 2024.

Work
