What changes in March 2024

School, family and students

Several regulations review the organization of schooling in elementary, middle and high schools. This includes the establishment of needs-based groups in French and mathematics at the college. To improve the security of its website, the Caisse d'allocations famille requires all its beneficiaries to change their passwords as of March 8. Social/Health

As of March 31, the amount of medical exemptions applied, in particular, to medicines and health transportation will double, following a decree of February 14, 2024. A new section dedicated to disability pensions on ameli.fr.

Accommodation

As every year, the winter truce ends on March 31. The amount of the MaPrimeRénov' Co-ownership aid has been increased for 2024.

Training-Work

As of 1^er March, in 47 territories, earning active solidarity income (SSA) is associated with at least 15 hours of weekly activity, a measure under the law on full employment. Public officials will be able to save more days off in 2024 due to the Olympic and Paralympic Games. France Travail is setting up a guided route to facilitate simulations and the search for information targeted to users.

Citizenship Papers

An experiment starting in March 2024 gives adult French residents in Canada and Portugal the opportunity to renew their passports in a paperless manner. The Agence Nationale des Tités Sécurité (ANTS), which is responsible for the entire administration of identity documents, takes the name France Titres. If you want to get involved in the life of your municipality, you can now join the territorial reserve of citizens, set up in partnership with the platform L'Temps Civic.

Online services

The Visiocomplaint system, which allows crime victims to file complaints without having to travel to a police station or gendarmerie, is operational in the department of Sarthe, with a planned national deployment in 2024. The official website of French law Légifrance offers new links within the regulatory texts to extend and facilitate users' searches.

Transport

You can now request the replacement of your pink driving license with the new model in credit card format. Have you just passed your driver's license in an automatic box? You can now follow the manual driving license training immediately, without waiting for the 3-month period originally foreseen. Discover the new amounts on 1^er March of pound fees for passenger cars. Do you use your car for your business trips? You can choose to deduct actual expenses on your tax return: discover the new fuel charge schedule applicable on your 2024 tax return. New information is available on the My Points Allowed online service.

Silver

The Educfi passport, which raises awareness of financial and budgetary education, is extended to all pupils of 4^e in France. Some cigarette packages increase in March, the second increase this year, after January 2024. Supermarket promotions on non-food products will be more closely monitored. The Descrozaille Act passed in March 2023 comes into force.
