You must pay standard fine if you do not respect the parking rules:

  • Unreliable parking : €35
  • Inconvenient parking : €35
  • Very awkward parking : €135
  • Dangerous parking : €135. You lose too 3 points on your licence and risk suspension of a driving licence of up to 3 years.

You must pay the flat fine in 45 days from the date of the notice of violation.

This 45-day time limit changes to 60 days in case of payment.

If you do not pay on time, you will receive a notice of assessment.

This means that the amount of the fine increases due to delay.

  • For a fine of €35 (unsatisfactory and inconvenient parking), the amount is €75.
    It is reduced to €60 if you pay in 30 days after the date of despatch of the notice (45 days in case of telemarketing).
  • For a fine of €135 (parking very inconvenient and dangerous), the amount goes to €375.
    It is reduced to €300 if you pay in 30 days after the date of despatch of the notice (45 days in case of telemarketing).

Increased flat fine

You 3 months to contest, online or by mail, from the date of sending of the notice of increased flat-rate fine.

You don't have to pay logging to challenge the fine.

Meet the shipping conditions that are indicated on the notice of increased lump sum fine: sent by letter RAR , address where to send documents.

You will receive a reply to your complaint by mail.

Officer of the public prosecution may one of the following 3 decisions :

  • Declare your protest irrelevant. For example, because you did not attach the notice.
  • Withdraw all prosecution and proceed the offence
  • Decide sue you before the judge. You will receive a summons to present your challenge to a judge.
