Purchasing power measures and financial support for students

In order to help students cope with the effects of inflation, the government has put in place a number of measures in favor of their purchasing power: increase of 4% of scholarships on social criteria; exceptional back-to-school assistance of €100; the €1 meal scheme for precarious students maintained for the year 2022-2023.... What's new in the academic year

A new platform for students enrolling in their first year of a master's degree is expected to open in February 2023, the Minister of Higher Education announced in her September 15 start-up conference. The Minister outlined the key directions for 2022-23 in the areas of student and campus life, orientation and education pathways, and strategies for the coming year.

Back to school 2022: How much does it cost?

University fees are frozen for the 4the consecutive year: € 170 for national diplomas in the bachelor's degree cycle, € 243 for national diplomas in the master's degree cycle... Non-scholarship students must pay the Student Life and Campus Contribution (CVEC) to improve living conditions on campuses by an annual amount of €95.

Resto'U

Restaurants, cafeterias... The restaurants Crous Resto' offered by the Regional Centers of University and School Works (Crous) are numerous, the price of the restaurant ticket being set at €3.30 and €1 for scholars and students in precarious situation for the year 2022-2023.

Protection against disease

For the 2022-2023 school year, students have no social security contributions to pay and no affiliation process is required. Foreigners student in France, French student abroad, you can however have steps to accomplish. What are the tips to get refunded?

Mobility

If you are a student and wish to complete a sessional year, you can ask your institution to temporarily suspend your studies for a period of up to 1 to 2 consecutive semesters. If you are a student enrolled in a higher education institution, you can follow part of your studies in another European country through the Erasmus+ program. International mobility aid is intended for students who wish to pursue higher education abroad in the framework of an exchange program or carry out an international internship, and may also (under certain conditions) apply to students who follow the Erasmus+ program.

Student Integration Evenings 

Humiliating or degrading acts, excessive alcohol consumption... Although a number of students still experience this type of practice during integration student parties, particularly during the academic year, it must be known that hazing is a crime punishable by law. The Ministry of Higher Education is proposing the 2022 guide to festive and student integration events for organizers of these types of events.
